This initiative includes tree nursery building and the establishments of tree plantations, protecting remaining forests and endangered species, environmental care services e.g. park maintenance.

Since its beginning, SEES has established and sustained tree nurseries carrying over 10,000 plants that are distributed freely to the community for reforestation and some are planted in spaces granted to SEES by the City of Harare for reforestation purposes. SEES has been working with the City Council in maintaining important public places by providing sanitation facilities, planting trees for shade and general environmental care. With the availability of resources, SEES seek to grow the nurseries to the capacity of carrying between 250,000-500,000 plants that will be distributed for planting in every five year. Reforestation projects would be done through the signing of a memorandum which restrict the City authority or government from re-allocating reforested land for any other project within a stipulated period of not less than 20-30 years to allow trees planted in the space to mature and serve their purpose. SEES looks forward to providing security services to these nurseries and plantations through fencing the land and the provision of day and night care teams.
